Released in 2012, it set the standard for all of SIGMA’s subsequent Art-line lenses, and thanks to its exceptional image quality it is still the 35mm prime lens of choice for many professional photographers. The existing 35mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art was SIGMA’s first GLOBAL VISION lens. Superb optical performance and usability power up the most popular focal length.Īn "Art F1.4 35mm" reborn for mirrorless and empowered through SIGMA's technology to date. ![]() SIGMA 35mm F1.4 DG DN The evolution of a classic The 35mm F1.4 Art is reborn ![]() The Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG DN Art for E- and L-mount will be available in mid-May for $899. A fully customizable AF-L button is also available. It features an aperture ring that can be clicked/de-clicked, as well as locked in the 'A' position for camera control of aperture, or locked out of the 'A' position for lens control of the aperture. Given that it's in Sigma's 'Art' lineup, it's no surprise that the 35mm F1.4 is well-built and weather-sealed. Sigma says that the lens' 11 aperture blades will produce 'smooth, round bokeh'. The minimum focus distance is 30cm (11.8") and the maximum magnification is 0.19x. The lens' single focus element is driven by a quiet stepping motor. This newly designed lens has 15 elements in 11 groups, including 'FLD', 'ELD', 'SLD' glass (all variants of low-dispersion glass aimed at minimizing chromatic aberrations), as well as aspherical elements. A must buy, for sure !!! I tried to gather as much useful information as possible in order to present you this lens. I've used a lot of 35s in my life, and none of them compare to this one. This lens is ideal for all types of photographers thanks to its lightning fast autofocus, perfectly dampened manual focus ring, and external aperture power. Sigma's latest 35mm 1.4 Art Series lens strikes the perfect balance between analog feel and modern features, in my opinion. This lens can seem like a good match for filmmakers who like to shoot mirrorless with minimal flaring and extra sharpness. The SIGMA AF 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art is no exception, providing excellent performance at a reasonable price. One of the most significant benefits is the cost. To deliver high-level artistic efficiency, SIGMA's Art lineup was built with a focus on sophisticated optical performance and tremendous expressive power. The front element has a water and oil repellent covering, allowing photographers to use it in whatever heat. The mount is surrounded by a rubber gasket, and the dust and splash-proof frame seals buttons and joins between constituent parts. The 35mm F1.4 DG DN Art has a high level of dependability, allowing it to be used professionally for long periods of time, as well as individual working pieces that sit easily in the hand. This lens is capable of smooth, quiet and high speed AF due to their technology of stepping motor and of course they support Eye-Af, Face Detection and video AF. Firstly, it is smaller and lighter with only 645g / 22.8oz. ![]() Is that enough? What do you mean? Let me brake it even to show you that this is an excellent lens by Sigma. You read the above and you are still confused. ![]()
